A large-scale public education campaign created to fight online scams in Hong Kong. Backed by 44 local banks, payment operators, the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau, and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the initiative promoted a new warning alert system in online banking and e-wallets. The system notifies users if the recipient’s account has been linked to fraud, encouraging safer online transactions. To maximize reach, pop singer G.E.M. 鄧紫棋 was featured in a TV commercial urging the public to “think twice” before transferring money online.
